And they don't just talk about it — they take it apart to show you how it works and put it back together to show you how it sounds. Tonight´s music for winds and piano includes Darius Milhaud´s pot-pourri of Brazilian pop tunes, "Le Bouef sur la Toit" along with the Sextet by Francis Poulenc and new pieces by Ian McCrae and Chris Gander. A fabulous way to get into something new!

Alfonso was great. In 13 century Spain he mixed Christian, Muslim and Jewish music to great effect. Our three well travelled musicians will follow his inspiration providing a heady mix of the music they have absorbed on their travels, to include works by
Jason Carter and a series of pieces by Chris Gander, based on the music that would have been heard in Alfonso's Alhambra Palace. Presented in St. Mary's magnificent Victorian music room. Can you possibly miss this?
